Accepting new clients means taking risks not as high as with existing clients and regulars. No call no shows and cancellations is one area.
Cancellations happen. Something comes up at the last minute. Another woman calls you back, and you take her up. Your wife comes home early. Or your boss asks you to work late. And these can happen to anyone.
I can’t tell whether these excuses are real or made-up, and if someone notifies me in advance I can work with it. But when you are already supposed to be here, and I’ve showered or gotten dressed up for nothing, my time is being wasted. I probably can’t fit someone else into this time slot. Again, if you wrecked your car or got pulled over on your way here, maybe you didn’t have time to text me. That’s understandable. But there’s no reason all of this happens to new clients more than existing ones.
New clients have their own reasons for no shows:
Some guys are just assholes, so it’s easy to sit somewhere and harass them. They browse sites for numbers and they spam providers. Maybe, they’re a bored twelve-year-old. Maybe they’re self-righteous assholes. Who knows?
Some guys have never paid for a prostitute, and they just psyche themselves out. They convince themselves that their wife or partner is on to them. Or they think I’m law enforcement. I know, right? These guys look for every reason something could go wrong, and they think the probability is close to 100% instead of the more likely 0%.
Some guys just have never seen me, and they think about the LEO angle, or just have a change of heart. Maybe our schedules just never align, or whatever.
I’d like to know what other reasons guys just bail without notice. To be honest, the game players, will give notice, and they’ll pretend they are on the way and running late, almost guaranteeing my time is fully wasted, and then I’ll say Fuck the world and stop taking calls for a while, which pisses off the guys who had already made plans—especially other new ones—, and fucks up my finances.
All of this adds up to my asking for deposits from new clients. I know guys hate the thought. I know it gives them one more reason not to call in the first place, but at least I am compensated for my trouble, so it’s not a complete loss.
And if you cancel without a reasonable amount of notice, you don’t get it returned, and you don’t get to apply it to a future date. With notice, a 100% credit is reasonable. Maybe it’s somewhere in between. Obviously with game player, it wouldn’t matter because they had no intention of seeing me in the first place.
If we haven’t met, and I ask you for a deposit, don’t be surprised. This is not a scam. Just know that it comes from my experience.
